Casualty fans can get an exciting insight into life at the BBC medical drama in our exclusive behind-the-scenes video.

Digital Spy was lucky enough to visit the Cardiff set recently, where Michael Stevenson – who plays popular paramedic Iain Dean – let us in on some exciting backstage gossip.

In the video above, Michael shows us around the ED's reception, the cubicles, the hospital shop and Charlie's office.

He also walked us through triage and resus, where he revealed some major secrets about the magic behind some of the on-screen medical procedures.

Michael also took us into the staff room, where the cast relax (and sometimes snooze!) between takes.

We also got a sneak peek at Connie's former office, as Michael reflected on some of the more raunchy scenes between the clinical lead and her on-off love interest Jacob.

Our set tour also reveals some very interesting facts about which cast members play the most pranks, how they brought the groundbreaking one-shot episode to life, and much, much more.
