Fans will be delighted to hear that popular actress Charlotte Salt is reprising her role in Casualty.
Charlotte played doctor Sam Nicholls between 2011-2013. Her last scenes saw her get married to fellow medic Tom, however he will not be making a return with her.
Producer Erika Hossington talking to TV Times said, ‘We will find out what’s happened to him and why she’s come back’.
Charlotte starts filming again at the end of May and will be onscreen later this year. Storylines are sure to involve her ex-husband Dylan Keogh and she also had previous romantic history with paramedic Iain.
‘She won’t be in the guise you’re used to seeing her in,’ Erika revealed. ‘But I can’t say anything more than that!’
Adding ‘We know fans loved Charlotte first time around so it seemed worth asking her!’.
Married to Oliver Coleman (Tom) in real life, Charlotte is also delighted to be returning to the show ‘I’m thrilled to be back with the gang in Holby’.
