I was bored stiff, stuck on a stupid fat cob who wouldn't move, is claimed to be too small for me and spent a whole lesson "attempting" to do dressage, one of my instructors not so bright ideas!

But he's gorgeous

I've been riding just over 10 years I think. The only time I temporarily gave it up was when the pony I looked after was sold (Still haven't tracked him down ) I didn't ride for about 4 weeks (which is aaages for me!) because I just wanted Brandy! Brandy was only 13.2 but I had a really pushy (and good!) riding instructor with private lessons (scary) who made us jump huge fences! He was similar to Ben in his scattyness but was younger and I had a pushy instructor (and pushy friends with showy ponies) so we jumped these massive things. I had SO much more confidence than I do now, and I suspect I was a much better rider, because I don't have many lessons now, so I just ride how I like and do naughty things like check he's on the right leg by looking, and look down when I'm doing turn on the forehand... I can't believe the size of the jumps I used to jump (I must be getting old!)

Max actually has a beauty spot lmao, well I think it's actually just a spot. He is quite cute for a cob, and he is one of the more graceful ones, better than Dublin who squashes your legs up posts, snaps poles and is generally rather like an elephant, very cuddly though!
The longest time this year I hadn't ridden for was 8 weeks when I was doing exams, I went crazy!

I know, it's a brill thread, I think it actually started off in the pain thread when I was saying about most of my accidents are horse related, or along those lines!

I miss him!

He was a lovely pony, very naughty (especially on hacks - he trampled my little sis and his owner when they were trying to restrain him!) but a great little jumper I can't believe he was only 13.2!!!

Gorgeous Pony, he looks bigger than 13.2! I only ever ride 15hh+ now, ponies are too naughty!
