Linden is becoming agitated with Joseph and his constant involvement with Faye and the baby. When Joseph tells him he will be present at the birth, Linden announces that he and Faye are moving to Scotland. Faye questions Linden on his actions and he admits that he does not know if he can cope with the situation any more.
Michael and Kate's affair comes to an end when he asks her to be his date for a charity ball and she declines. Michael then asks Connie who also turns him down, until Michael defends Connie from a patient's relative and she finally agrees to go.

Adam takes a big step towards recovering from Harry's death after a tense run-in with psychopathic prisoner Jackson, Kirsty and Tess come to verbal blows over the best way to treat a patient, and Casualty favourite Megan (Academy Award-winner Brenda Fricker) reveals the reason behind her return to Holby.
Adam's having a bad day. Heart heavy with guilt over losing Harry, the last thing he needs is convict Jackson returning to taunt him. It appears that Jackson has become obsessed with Adam since he treated him the last time and has read all the press cuttings about Harry's accident. When Jackson escapes from the Emergency Department with Adam's car keys the doctor is implicated in his escape. Can Adam track down the highly dangerous prisoner and how does Jackson hold the key to Adam's recovery?
Former Holby nurse Megan has been released from the ED, but her health is clearly troubling her. She returns briefly after helping a collapsing passer-by, only to be confronted by Tess. Concerned for Charlie, Tess urges Megan to contact him, but Megan stubbornly refuses. When Tess finds a worrying note, she tries again to connect with Megan, only to be brutally rebuffed. How long can Megan face her illness alone? Will she be persuaded to confide in her old friend?
When Kirsty jumps to conclusions after seeing some bruising on a patient, Tess lectures her about becoming too involved. Ignoring Tess's warning, Kirsty rashly accuses the patient's girlfriend of abuse but can only watch helplessly as they walk away. Furious, Tess lectures the younger nurse and a livid Kirsty threatens to make a formal complaint as she storms out of the hospital. But it looks like Kirsty might need Tess after all when she returns to the hospital with a head injury...

Ric shows Kate, a Trust member tasked with allocating funds left in a will, around Holby. Ric suggests that the funds be invested in the NHS rather than Holbycare. When Michael realises that Ric is getting the better of him both professionally and personally, he comes out fighting by announcing to the ward that he and Annalese are over, and that he's having dinner with Kate later.
Elliot is uncomfortable with all of the attention that his OBE has received and is focusing on avoiding journalists as opposed to treating his patients. Oliver puts him in his place when a patient seriously deteriorates and he needs Elliot to oversee the case. Elliot later apologises to Oliver for being a bad mentor.
Mud sticks and when Mark questions Donna about Sacha's behaviour with the female staff, the rumor mill kicks in. When a patient overhears Donna gossiping they decide they don't want to be treated by Sacha. Jac spins this to her advantage, but in the end it is Jac who stands up for Sacha and quashes the rumors once and for all.

'I Am Mine' : Zoe continues to pull the wool over Jordan's eyes about her "pregnancy", Lenny and Yuki take the law into their own hands with worrying consequences and an old Casualty favourite returns to the Emergency Department in need of treatment.
After lying to Jordan that she is pregnant, Zoe continues her fertility injections in a desperate attempt to conceive before he finds out. But after treating an assault victim she realises the destructive power of lies and breaks off her relationship with Jordan, without actually admitting the truth. Jordan won't be put off that easily; dismissing her outburst as hormones, he asks a very surprising question...
Meanwhile, Lenny is determined to find evidence of Robert and the Ludlow Foundation's complicity in the drugs trial cover-up and enlists a reluctant Yuki to help him break into Robert's house. Finding the evidence they need, the pair narrowly escape being caught but their actions cause a trail of destruction. Afterwards Yuki turns on Lenny, angry he cares more about the evidence than their friendship. Will Lenny get the evidence he needs to confront Jordan and can his friendship with Yuki withstand this test?
After having Shona arrested for theft, Charlie misses her trial; but the teenager thanks him for his intervention, and seems genuinely transformed. But later, Charlie is stunned to discover an old friend in resuscitation, just as she starts crashing...

'Secrets You Keep' : Elliot successfully performs Ben's life-saving laser surgery but can't keep the fact that he was scammed by Maggie a secret for very long. It is soon revealed that Elliot paid for the laser himself with the proceeds from his house. Elliot refuses to call the police but Mark reports the crime.
Meanwhile, Linden tries to keep his personal issues with Joseph from affecting his work, but when Frieda calls Joseph to an emergency without telling Linden, Linden is furious. Frieda retaliates by reminding Linden that patients in his care should not suffer due to his personal problems. Linden later apologises to Frieda and thanks Joseph for his help in theatre.
Sacha and Jac compete with each other to get a rise out of Elizabeth but Sacha is shocked when Jac takes the joke too far by hiding baby Daniel, sending Elizabeth into a panic and possibly affecting the dynamic of the team.

'Going Solo' : Lenny goes against orders when he saves the life of a drugs trial patient; Zoe fails to put Jordan straight when he jumps to a big conclusion; and Linda Robson guest stars as Louise, the mother of a troubled teenager.
Lenny is determined to track down the last of the drugs trial patients – troubled teen Johnny – and save him from the Crypto virus. After causing an explosion in an office block, wayward Johnny is brought into the ED with his long-suffering mother, Louise, and Lenny leaps on the case. Despite warnings from his colleagues, Lenny performs a complex life-saving procedure unsupervised, much to Jordan's disapproval. But once Johnny's condition has stabilised, can Louise and the ED team get to the bottom of his behavioural problems?
Meanwhile, middle-aged Mick (played by John McArdle) is brought into the ED after having a nasty fall and seizures. He has a pacemaker, a secret he's keen to keep from his lively young wife, Emma. Could his determination to keep up with his young partner be compromising his health? And just what is causing those seizures?
Charlie makes yet another attempt to reform Shona but, when faced with temptation, Shona buckles and steals from a patient. At his wit's end, Charlie decides to get tough with the teen. Alerting the police, he watches sadly as she's taken away in handcuffs.
Elsewhere, unaware that Zoe is reacting badly to the fertility treatment, Jordan assumes she's suffering from morning sickness. When Zoe's pregnancy test comes back negative, she tries to tell Jordan the truth but he's so excited he won't let her finish. Unable to crush his joy, Zoe keeps quiet. But how long can she keep up the pretence?

'Swimming with Sharks' : Mark receives a complaint about Sacha making inappropriate comments about a patient.
He checks up on Sacha's past and discovers he was accused of sexual harassment at his last hospital. Mark confronts Sacha, who complains to Michael that Mark has abused his power.
The complaint against Sacha is dropped, as was the previous allegation, which was proved false. But Mark's suspicions have been aroused.
Penny is shown up by Frieda once again when Linden asks Frieda to teach the junior doctors a procedure. Penny asks Frieda to stop undermining her, but soon realises that she needs to play Frieda at her own game.
Penny tells Frieda that she and Oliver will meet her in the bar after work but she stands Frieda up, leaving her to spend the evening with Dr Greene.
Elliot realises he has been scammed by Maggie when the laser doesn't arrive. Ben urgently needs his operation and Elliot performs a laser-less interim procedure. Elliot explains that laser will be delivered tomorrow.
