Jacob encounters a fellow jogger who has been trapped between rocks for three days. Unable to raise an alarm due to the remoteness of the location, he has to contemplate performing an amputation then and there. His heroic act impresses Marcus to the extent that he is prepared to work with Jacob in addressing the problem of a skeleton staff in ED.
Marcus warns Dylan to drop the care home patients issue, but his obsession risks him losing his job. Paige accidentally falls asleep in the staff room and it seems clear her work is suffering as a result of helping Rash.
