Episode Summary
Animal-rights activists plant a bomb under a professor’s car, but his young daughter gets into it. In rescuing her, one of the activists is injured and is taken to casualty. Though he knows he will die, the activist refuses treatment derived from animal experimentation.
An ex-pat returned from Zimbabwe is thought to be suffering from malaria. But it transpires that, after a fishing trip, he has contracted Weil’s disease from contaminated canal water, and he soon dies.
Kate sympathetically removes the wig that a man had glued on to his bald head. Laura, the new PR officer, shadows the nursing shift. On an adrenalin high, she asks Ash out for a drink after work which ends back at her place.
