Episode Summary
Mark is rightly concerned that Archie, the locum consultant, is not up to the job. George and Richard wish they were looking after the department themselves.
A bride-to-be argues with her fiance when he fails to turn up for the vaccinations needed for their Caribbean wedding. He cuts his head, and in casualty panics when he needs an injection; the bride is relieved that it is the needle he has an adversion to, not her.
A father argues with his son’s teacher when they boy is excluded from school. The boy is injured in the fray. In A&E, Mark and Eve have to keep the father and teacher apart. After a few critical moments in resus, the boy’s life is saved, and Mark discovers the warring pair were rivals in the past.
