Casualty Win BAFTA

187 0 are thrilled to announce that CASUALTY has won an award at this year’s BAFTA Awards.

The annual British Academy Awards of Film and Television which took place on Sunday 20th May saw CASUALTY pick up the award for ‘Continuing Drama’. Coronation Street, Eastenders and Emmerdale were the other nominees in the category.

It was great to see a deserving CASUALTY get the recognition this year following the recent gripping Christmas episodes written by Barbara Machin.

Long serving Ian Bleasdale (Josh) accepted the award at the ceremony, which took place at the London Palladium. He said ‘To the doctors, nurses and ambulance crews, thank you for doing the job you do. I hope we go some way to showing exactly what it is,’ and dedicated the award to show’s original producer, Geraint Morris, who died in 1997.
