CASUALTY actor Michael Stevenson is the writer and producer of a new short film ‘Something Missing’.
‘Something Missing’ is a raw, challenging short film about the emotional toll on a young boy and his mother, secretly living with young-onset dementia. The cast will be led by award-winning actor Jude Riordan, notable for his role in Coronation Street.
The short film aims to provide a greater understanding of the experiences of children in families affected by young-onset dementia and is endorsed by St Helens Young Carers Centre and Sheffield Young Carers.
A Kickstarter project has been created to fund the project but also to help give donations to young carers including cinema trips, bowling, outdoor adventure days and on-set work experience opportunities.

To coincide with Young Carers Action Day, I will be launching something that I have been working on for some time. I am incredibly passionate about this project and excited for you to see what I’ve got planned.

A brilliant project
Not only does it have fantastic talent behind and in front of the camera with @mikeTstevenson, @paul_rio and starring @JudeRiordan
But it’s also giving a great, rare and needed opportunity to Young Carers to get involved in the film/TV industry 👏👏 https://t.co/q117vWLyCf
