holby.tv can confirm that actress Sophia Di Martino is leaving CASUALTY.
Sophia, who played technician Polly Emmerson, joined the show in March 2009.
In her short stint on the programme, her storylines included befriending homeless patient Alistair – who later died following his infatuation for her and both starred in CASUALTY’s first ever webisode.
She will be onscreen till April.

No! I can’t stand this, I was just moaning the other day that she’s not in it enough 🙁
She’s probably leaving because they’re not giving her enough screentime, nasty people. I think Sophia is brilliant, I wish her all the best of luck in the future. I hope she’s reading these comments

Casualty has always been mine progamme since I have started watching it on the Saturday night Polly the new commer from Casualty she been on the screen in 2009 she played a wonderful actor Sophie DIMartino she is mine favoourite acter she is a great person one of the best technicians works with Dixie and Jeff am going too miss her when she going to leave the progamme think you so much for my comments
I love Polly Emmerson in Casualty, but she hasn’t been on screen enough, which is the fault of the producers/writers. Why do they always kill off the best characters? Now there is no way that she can ever return. I’m gutted and may stop watching now. Anyway, good luck to Sophia Di Martino in all she does, she is a very beautiful and capable actress.

its needs more near death storylines, maybe a happy ending now and again people this was the first time i was gripped to the sceen for ages
