1. Casualty

 

If you fancy some Casualty nostalgia, stock up on the first three series of the show. See how Charlie and Baz’s relationship first developed or catch Megan’s first appearance.

 

2. No Angels

 

Channel 4’s  comedy drama set in a hospital. Revolving around four central characters as they juggle work and play. Sunetra Sarker (Zoe) plays the lead role of Anji, whilst Matt Bardock (Jeff) plays a doctor in Series 3. Brilliantly acted, refreshingly honest and highly entertaining.

 

3. Cutting It

 

BBC drama following the traumatic life of hairdresser Allie Henshall, alongside her lovers, her rivals and her dysfunctional family. Running for four series, a number of Casualty and Holby faces have appeared including Angela Griffin (Jasmine), Jason Merrells (Matt), Christine Stephen-Daly (Lara) and Lucy Gaskell (Kirsty).

 

4. Life on Mars

 

Fantastic sci-fi police drama from the BBC based on the fictional story of Sam Tyler, who after being hit by a car, awakes in 1973. The central plot centres on the ambiguity concerning Tyler’s predicament of it being unclear to both the audience and the character whether he has died, gone mad, is in a coma or has actually travelled back in time. Features Tony Marshall (Noel). Georgia Taylor (Ruth) also appears in two episodes.

 

5. The Vice

 

The Vice told the story of the London Metropolitan police forces vice squad, where prostitution, murder and organized crime are everyday occurrences. Running for five series, Rosie Marcel (Jac) appears in nine episodes as PC Kirsty Morgan. Emma Catherwood (Penny) also stars in three episodes.

 

6. Early Doors

 

BBC comedy has more of a cult following, having run for two series and is set in a northern local pub. Stars popular former Casualty actress Susan Cookson (Maggie).

 

7. Waterloo Road

 

Another BBC drama set in a troubled comprehensive school which again features a number of Casualty and Holby stars. Angela Griffin (Jasmine), Jason Merrells (Matt), Denise Welch (Pam) and Tom Chambers (Sam) have all had major parts in the show. Luke Bailey (Sam), Elyes Gabel (Guppy) and Susan Cookson (Maggie) have also appeared.

 

8. Mile High

 

Sky One drama based on the lives of cabin crew members of fresh!, a budget airline in London. Sarah Manners (Bex), James Redmond (Abs) and Luke Roberts (Joseph) all played main characters during the show’s run.

 

9. Lady Godiva

 

Moderm film remake of romantic comedy drama Lady Godiva starring Phoebe Thomas (Maria) in the lead role. Set in modern-day Oxford, Jemmima Honey, a teacher, needs to raise funds for her local creative arts centre. To do so she accepts the challenge of businessmen and love interest Michael Bartle to ride through the streets of Oxford naked.

 

10. Blackpool

 

Part musical, part thriller, part drama, Blackpool brings the glitz of Vegas to the English seaside town in a gripping and witty whodunnit. BBC show starring Georgia Taylor (Ruth)
