FAMILY : She became a mother to son, Jack in 1993. Her father was a master mariner. She also has an older sister and a younger brother and sister.

TRAINED : Guildhall School of Music and Drama (1981 Gold Medal). She then went on to the Nuffield Theatre in Southampton to gain her equity card.
