Following an explosive episode where a bomb went off in the department in HOLBY CITY this week – a number of cast members left our screens.
Amy Lennox, who plays surgeon Chloe, decided to leave for a job in Switzerland after helping to deliver her mother’s twins, the girl who she helped name Isabella. Joining the show in January 2019, her other notable storylines included a toxic relationship with Evan, who later died.
Nic Jackman, who recently returned as murdering doctor Cameron Dunn was killed after a ceiling collapsed on him. His mother, Bernie – played by Jemma Redgrave, also made a shock return after being presumed dead and revealed she and Serena had been living together and planned to go back to her which pleased fans. Hanssen said there would always be a place for her at Holby if she wanted it.
Vineeta Rishi who played Mental Health Nurse Lucky Simpson, currently has her life on the line after being attacked by Jeni, unbeknown to anyone else. Suspicious of Jeni’s dodgy dealings, she did manage to send incriminating photos to Fletch’s phone before being seriously injured.
In some dramatic storylines of late, it’s disappointing for fans that HOLBY CITY’s axing is looming ever closer with still little understanding of the BBC’s poor decision.
