S18 E11 (15 Nov 03) : Falling for a Friend by Joe Turner
Episode Summary
On her day off, Comfort meets Eve. She is a spontaneous girl, out for a good time, which Comfort relishes. Impulsively, Eve leads her into all sorts of trouble as they leave a cafe without paying and end up in a bar pretending to be hookers. Events go too far when Eve steals a car and a police chase leads to the roof of a car park. Eve makes a run for it but falls to her death. Comfort discovers that Eve had a history of mental illness and the trauma leads her to drink some more, before turning up at the calendar launch.
Meanwhile, Lara encourages Harry to admit to his doctor that he cannot cope without the drug therapy. She suggests he destroy the doctored records and then she threatens Simon. He infuriates her by insinuating that she fancies Harry and she slaps him; later, Tally pours a bed pan all over Simon when she finds out what he has been doing. She backtracks but Simon declares that they are finished. At the launch, Harry picks up the wrong signals and attempts to kiss Lara.
After seeking advice from Harry, Jim tracks Nikki down into the ladies’ toilets and, on bended knee, proposes.
Roxy is forced to confess she is a surrogate mother when the father is admitted and everyone is aghast. After threatening to have an abortion, she decides she does not care what others think and will keep the child.
Elsewhere, Mike is feeling paranoid at work and quits when embarrassingly faced with an old colleague.
