Marija has to make the agonising choice between Danny Shaughnessy and her original husband, Goran Ovcar who she thought was dead. She meets up with Goran against Danny’s wishes, and Goran talks to Luka in Croatian, and Luka is obviously soothed. Marija choses Goran and apologises to Danny, she really did love him but she belongs with her husband and son. Danny tells her that she can have that life with him, and just as it looks like she’s changing her mind, Goran appears and takes her away.
Danny finds his mother has a black eye, and when he realises that his father gave her it, he is furious. He beats up his father in the carpark until Kath turns up and stops the commotion. Danny swears that if he touches his mother again then he’ll kill him.
[ID 572]Sam[/ID] confesses to Chrissie that she bought Alex doubles instead of singles. Chrissie is shocked and tells Sam that she must tell him!
Janice says that Alistair can move back in, and he says he’s booked them a weekend away. Her mind is changed however, when she hears Chrissie telling Sandy all the places that her and Alistair slept together. She tells Alistair that she just can’t forgive him and that it’s over. Chrissie tells Alistair that it’s definitely over too, leaving Alistair alone and upset.
Alex’s tribunal hearing goes well, and Meyer and Sam are thrilled that he can work again. However, Alex questions Alistair’s judgement causing Alistair and Anton to disagree over the patient’s treatment. Alistair goes to Anton’s office to have it out. Alistair accuses Anton of being the only man in the department who counts – a megalomaniac. Anton says that Alistair’s ego means he can’t stand not being the best. Alistair says he can’t work like this and offers to leave. Anton accepts his resignation eagerly.
