HOLBY CITY surprised us this week with a shock exit as actress Petra Letang left our screens.
Petra has played nurse Adele Effanga for two years.
Adele, who after treating a patient friend who dies (played by Denise Welch) decides on a career in palliative care encouraged by surgeon Guy Self.
She has been involved in a number of other storylines during her time on Holby including her romance with Jesse Law, family issues with sister Mo and being attacked outside the hospital.
Petra will be sadly missed.
