Richard Winsor bowed out of Casualty tonight, shocking viewers after his character Cal was brutally murdered, in a storyline that will have a lasting impact for the rest of the ED gang.
Richard joined the show in January 2014 and said ‘It was one of the hardest decisions of my career to let Cal go, I will miss playing him dearly.’
‘Leaving Casualty is a bit like leaving home. Every member of the Casualty family is loving, supportive and extremely talented.’
He has been involved in a number of storylines during his three years on the show including a sometimes fraught relationship with his brother, doctor Ethan – who he recently learnt was having an affair with his girlfriend Alicia, his mother dying from Huntington’s disease and a failed relationship with Taylor who conned him out of money and claimed she had a baby with him.
holby.tv fans will be sad to see him go!
