It’s Christian’s first day as acting Inspector. He is quick to reassure the troops that the power won’t go to his head (too much) and he’s still the ‘Sarg’ they all know and love.
After turning her life around and completing a stint at rehab, Christian’s friend, Miranda, arrives at the station for moral support. Having secured an interview as a Drugs Referral Worker, Christian helps her by role playing the interview and it’s clear there might be more than just friendship ahead of them.
Meanwhile local shoplifter Wayne is back in custody after being caught red handed. Unbeknown to the Police, Wayne is now also a delivery boy for two drug dealers, Aaron and Kwame. With ambitions higher than the contents of a local shopping centre, Wayne has set up the two violent drug dealers against each other in attempt to take over their patch. When Kwame is found beaten unconscious, CID race to unravel the mystery before the situation escalates and they’re left dealing with several dead bodies.
Neil and Kelly are called out to a local disturbance between Jack Duggan and his neighbour Keith Sparrow. It’s one of many incidents of ‘neighbourly’ warfare between Jack and Keith, who on top of their petty disputes, are fighting over Jack’s wife Jill. But just as Neil and Kelly think they have defused the situation, they are called back to find one of the parties has taken things a fatal step too far.
